Started in 1997, this voluntary group offers emotional and practical support, and provides a relaxed, friendly environment where people with an acquired / traumatic brain injury, their families or carers, and interested professionals can meet.
The group meets in Harrow on the first Wednesday evening of the month, at 7.30pm, at The Salvation Army (15-17 Roxeth Hill, Harrow, HA2 0JY). If you are planning to visit the Harrow Support Group for the first time, it is advisable to phone Headway North West London (on 07726 325222) in advance of the meeting, just in case the group has organized an outing.
Meetings are usually attended by between 12 and 20 people. The group often has speakers, or arranges social outings. Andy Bendell facilitates the group with the help of Bridget Shaw and Tracey Freeman, who have been an invaluable support for our members for many years.
